One of the days of the workshop we were treated with models styled by Brandi to shoot. There were 14 models some in couples and some single models. We were broken up into groups of 4 per model. My group consisted of myself and 3 other wonderful women and inspiring photographers: Jessica Klima, Christen Jones and last but not least Karyn Kelbaugh, check them out when you get a chance. We were blessed with KIM a single model, and boy could she model. She did anything we asked with a smile and needed little direction, as you will soon see. Kim had a secret weapon she was also a photographer, yeah for us. She knew exactly what we wanted when we asked her to do something, she ROCKED!! She was beautiful, sweet and made the best expressions, lol. She was styled in what I would consider a 1940’s look and it fit her perfectly. Throughout our two hours with Kim we tried to stick with a vintage feeling, I truly think we accomplished that feeling. We were also very blessed by a woman named Susan Watts who owns a cool vintage T-bird and lives in an upscale condo residency, she gave us free rein of both. I can’t thank her enough for that.
We were group 8 and guess what, we WON!!! The group shot that is, yeah for us! Christen is the one who actually took the photo but we were all very involved. It took us several tries with everyone shooting and holding the flash. We put Kim and the flash in many different positions until we had exactly what we wanted. Kim thanks for being so kind and patience.
