Ok for those of you who know me you know how much I LOVE SHOES!! And for those of you who don’t know me I LOVE SHOES!!!!  Well for close to two years now I have been wanting, loving and obsessing over a specific shoe…………TOMS SHOES!!!   Due to building my daughter’s shoe collection (she has my love for shoes)my shoe obsession was put on the back burner.  But thanks to my loving husband he ordered a pair for my birthday and I was so excited they came in TODAY!!!

The coolest thing you need to know about TOMS SHOES is that when you buy a pair of shoes for yourself Toms gives a pair to a needy child, it’s called one for one.  It just doesn’t get any better than that, buying something I love and helping a child in the process.  Toms shoes you ROCK!!

So to show to you how much I love these shoes, the minute they came in I took out my camera and had a little shoe shoot with them.  And then when Matt(hubby) woke up I had him take a few shots of me in them.  I am soooooo excited to show them to you.  If you love them they’re are many different styles to choose from, RED just happens to be my favorite color, you can click on the link above to see all the fabulous TOMS products.

WoW! What a Wedding this was……..Kayla and Hoyt are such awesome individuals!!! They have been together for many years now and have both been looking forward to this special COLD day!!! It was FREEEEZING on January 09, 2010 when Kayla and Hoyt were married.  I have been really excited about shooting this wedding because not only was it going to a phenomenal wedding but some of my childhood friends were going to be there!!! It was so nice to see all of them!!! I wish Kelly would have been there but we will meet up next time!!! Hope you are feeling better Kelly!!!

Anyway….Kayla’s day started off with hair and makeup at the Studio Salon in downtown Breaux Bridge…. After this we headed over to Kayla’s brother’s house to wait for the bridesmaids to finish getting ready!!! Next it was off to L’Eglise where Kayla and Hoyt decided to have “The First LOOK!” …………… This is so much fun!!!! The first look is when we set the stage and the bride and groom get to see each other before the wedding!!! I know some of you traditional people DON’T like this! But there are some advantages: get the wedding jitters out of your system for both the bride and groom and also you have some GREAT portraits!!!! Kayla and Hoyt were our first couple to decide on the first look and we were very pleased!!! They were very sweet when they first looked at each other, Hoyt, saying, “You look beautiful!” Everyone together, “AWWWWWWWWW!”

The party was fabulous and the wedding exquisite!!! I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak and once again, thanks to a ROCKIN’ bride and groom!

Well as some of you know Emerson was hospitalized this week for Pnuemonia, this was the second time in 5 weeks that she was diagnosed with it. But let me assure you all, this time was different. Her temp was as high as 104.0F  and she wasn’t drinking , refusing to eat even her favorite food nuggets and fries.  For those of you who really know my daughter you know if she was refusing food she must of been really sick,and she was.  So her wonderful pediatrician Dr. Bailey decided it was time  to go to the hospital.  And good thing we did because her blood work said it all .

One of the scariest things is watching your child get an IV put in, because they are looking at you in fear and you are having to help hold them still so the nurse hurts them as little as possible.  Well one thing that Women’s and Children’s hospital is doing right is that they employ a child life specialist and her job is to help kids understand the procedures and treatments that are being done to them by play and example on stuffed animals.  Janie was excellent, this is definitely a calling for her and we think every hospital that cares for kids should employ one or many.  Thank you so much Janie you made our stay at Women’s easier, you are awesome!!!

It’s been a crazy few weeks but we feel so blessed that our little girl is getting better.  May God bless everyone involved in her care. A special thanks to Dr. Bailey for always trusting this nervous mommy’s instincts. Thanks to all of you who called e-mailed and facebooked your concerns and prayers for Emerson we appreciate it all more than I can express.

Thank god for DVD’s

This is Janie(the child life specialist) she is showing Emerson on a bear exactly what the nurse was going to do when putting in the IV.  It helped with the fear, she didn’t cry as much, it was wonderful.

We promised some more newborn portraits of Seth and here they are!!! A few days ago in the Artic Blast we received, which shouldn’t be confused with global warming, we had the opportunity to take Seth’s Newborn Portraits!!!!  Seth was a real trooper because Mom and Datsy’s house was frigid…..the heater was broken!!! Yikes….cold for a tiny thing!!! Boy he sure didn’t like it when I went to move his naked body because my fingers were like ice sickles, but for the most part he didn’t mind being disrobed!  But he did bless a couple of blankets in the process!!! Boys with be Boys!!!

Oh so did I mention Olivia, the Andries’ first baby adores Matt (my husband)!!!! Anytime we walk in the door to visit she smiles at him, goes straight to him and wants him to hold her………and wants nothing to do with me unless I have a snack!!!!! ;-( So I am determined that her little brother Seth is going to LOVE ME!!!! So in between shots I cuddled him tightly and whispered in his ear, “You Love Aunt Stacy, You Know You Do!”  So I guess we will have to see!!!
