Helen and Rodney have enjoyed 50 years together and are still in LOVE as much as they were 50 years ago!!! A few weeks ago they celebrated their 50 years together at the Petroleum Club. Their family and friends were all present to celebrate this huge milestone in their lives!!! Hope you guys enjoyed this special occasion!!! Here’s to another 50 years!!!!

Champagne’s Bakery in Breaux Bridge, LA is at it again!!!! They have once again altered the “Secret” family recipe, “Pink Cookies.” This time it not only has the pink cookie texture, but all kinds of new FLAVORS!!!! Let me tell you they are AMAZING!!!! I have always been a fan of the pink cookie, but now with these new flavors……….they are sure to make some more pink cookie fans!!!! I have no idea which new flavor is my favorite, but they are so good and YES, I taste tested EVERY ONE!!!! Yummmmmmmy!!!!
The new flavors are: chocolate covered strawberry, chocolate covered cherry, chocolate covered peanut butter, chocolate covered banana, s’mores, lemon, apple pie, georgia peach, key lime pie, pina coloda, and coconut.
With the big reveal of the new flavor line, our friend, Amy Muffoletto is super talented and is a party planner. She has been recreating the candy bar lately with a few of her tricks!!! She came along on the shoot to set up a “cookie bar!” These tables can be tailored to your event or wedding. They are great for grooms “cookie tables” and come in any color!!!!! This is definitely a Wedding that we at Stacy Landry Photography will never forget! It was the most sincere, loving, and genuine wedding that I have ever attended, as a guest or photographer! This couple is grounded in FAITH. Brittany and James made a purity pledge before they met. Once they met they made the promise/pledge to one another to wait until this special day to be ONE. When Brittany told me this story I thought to myself, what a beautiful, loving gesture to wait for the one that you commit yourself to for the rest of your life. This shows the couples deep rooted faith and belief in God and Church. What an inspiring example of love of one’s self and each other. Brittany took both of their purity rings and had them melted down to form one ring, which she gave her future husband, James. This is just the beginning of the couples many sentimental gestures seen throughout their wedding day. James is from Alabama and he and Brittany met at Bible School. James is a youth pastor in Alabama, where they will be living after the honeymoon.
Brittany is such a sweet girl; we met Brittany and her mom for her consultation where we instantly hit it off! Hearing about the details of this wedding we knew that it was going to be EXCEPTIONAL ceremony. Fastforwarding………to the day of the wedding day, as Heather and I entered the bridal suite everyone was all aflutter with excitement for Brittany’s Big Day. Toe nails being polished and the smell of hairspray linger in the air while bobby pinning up-do’s and gluing hair extensions to the clips…………ha, ha, ha! While awaiting the creation of a beautiful BRIDE!
The guys were laid back, watching the World Cup, Soccer…………well, most of them!!! James was busy taking care of all the ” Body HAIR!” Yes that’s right body hair! And here we go……………
Yeah………that’s right! I focused on her eyeball!
It took me 10 minutes to get this shot! But boy was it worth it! Bling…Bling!! Matt is jealous!

Ok people, that’s right! He flat ironed his hair!!! That’s how he get’s that cool Hair-Do! So ladies your husband would like a flat iron for his hair!!! James your hair looked very, very COOL!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am all about the the cause! That’s RIGHT any cause!!! If you haven’t lived under a ROCK for the past year you definitely know about TOMS shoes!!!!! And I am so happy and proud to say that James and Brittany bought a pair for every single groomsman! So that means that 14 children without shoes are going to receive a pair of TOMS. Awesome if I do say so myself!! Good job Brittany and James!!!! Don’t worry Matt and I own a pair and Emerson will shortly!

James loves guns and going to the shooting range…….so one of James’ many wedding gifts was a 9mm something or other gun! So watch out!
As Heather and I were walking to the Pavillion to get into position for the Ceremony, I walked out the door and saw that Brittany’s Dad was coming to stand by her. So, I told Heather to go to the Pavillion and get ready, while I waited. I just knew that there was going to be an awesome shot to capture. Brittany and her dad are so comfortable and you can tell in these images; they were smiling and laughing, while having no idea that I was there!!! These are definitely the pictures that I am most excited about because this was a REAL moment between father and daughter with no oneself around. Brittany I hope you love these images as much as I do!
After the bridal party walked out a recording or Brittany reading a prayer to James was played. There was barely a dry eye in the place………..
Including the groom himself………..it was the sweetest first look that we have ever witnessed!!!
Brittany put together a slideshow with a montage of images from birth to present of them. Everyone enjoyed the images…….the image below is of them watching the montage!
It was HOT……..it was very, very HOT in the Pavillion!
Uh yeah! You see that picture of Mrs. Angie putting gum in her mouth! That is quite a joke between Brittany and her mother!!! Mrs. Angie loves to chew gum and make it snap……….well….it drives Brittany crazy!!!! Brittany made her mom promise at the bridal shoot that there would be no pictures of her with gum in her mouth at the wedding………and here she is sneaking one in during the ceremony!
The couple both wrote in a journal everyday about all the good and bad things that had happened in their pasts. Before the wedding the journals were burned signifying that the past is the past and “WE” start a new life her and now.

How cool is this…..they had confetti blown at them during their first dance!!! Hey! Maybe it will start a new trend!

So we were super pumped about Brittany’s Bridal Shoot!!! She is a beautiful girl that is not afraid to admit she if from the COUNTRY…………So what better way to shoot her bridals in the country/forest!!! Stacy had this crazy kool idea and a kool shoot was set!!! We have to thank Mrs. Vickie and Tanya for once again allowing us to use their beautiful property and eat their ICE………..for those of you who don’t know!! It’s HOT outside!!!! It was the perfect setting!!!

So we bought this Lomography Oktomat 35mm camera from Urban Outfitters a while back and never took it out of the wrapper!!! To be honest…….I was a little leery about using the camera. Wasn’t sure how people would react to bringing a “toy” camera to a photoshoot! Well….after reading a fellow photogs blog and being in awe about her fun, funky, crazy pictures/camera post……I thought? Why not, and boy did we have some fun!!!! Brittany was so down for it and ROCKED it out!!!! Here is just a sample of her super COOOOOOL Shoes……….Oh! We have been playing with the camera everyday since!!!! Watch out BLOG!
